Dr Cecilia Graziano Osteopath
CECILIA graduated as an Osteopath from Victoria University in 2010 after being a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist for 9 years.
She initially set up her own massage business in 2003 where she worked alongside Osteo4Kids and Catherine Howard at Fairfield Podiatry. Cecilia then decided to pursue her dreams and continue her studies in Health Science and become an Osteopath.
In 2010 Cecilia started to work as an Osteopath in Fairfield and Malvern and in 2016 opened her own business in Osteopathy as Osteo4health in Preston.
Cecilia’s interest for Osteopathy developed after having grown up with family who experienced chronic back injuries.
For 12 years Cecilia continued to study at a University level and has completed a Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science), Masters in Health Science (Human Nutrition), Bachelor of Science (Clinical Science) and a Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy). Together with her multiple degrees and extensive clinical experience, Cecilia is able to incorporate all relevant aspects of her knowledge to provide patients with education about their bodies, promote healthy lifestyles, weight control and provide a holistic approach to treatment by using Osteopathy as a preventative medicine. Cecilia also has two certificates in Dry Needling and Cupping and likes to incorporate these techniques in her treatments, when necessary.
Since working for Osteo4kids & adults Cecilia has become increasingly interested in the treating of babies and children. Cecilia has continued with further studies in the paediatric courses and is interested in paediatric musculoskeletal conditions that present in newborns. Cecilia also enjoys educating children about awareness of their posture through their growth patterns, when using mobile phones/tablets, carrying school back packs and when playing sports. Cecilia also treats adults of all ages with ongoing chronic musculoskeletal problems, acute sporting injuries, workplace injuries and any day to day aches and pains.
Cecilia enjoys to promote a healthy balanced lifestyle, she likes to go to the gym, do boxing classes and enjoys lots of healthy cooking. She also likes to travel and enjoys learning about different cultures and their languages.
Cecilia speaks Italian fluently and has visited Italy & Europe on many occasions. Cecilia has been privileged to meet some Osteopaths in Italy & Spain and continues to be in contact with them and their research.
August 2016 and October 2017 Cecilia was luck enough to be ask to supervise and tutor Australian osteopathic students doing a placement in a Sports Med Hospital in Mumbai India, where she was working together with a team of surgeons, physiotherapists, radiologist and hospital staff. This experience Cecilia gained further knowledge of pre & post surgery recovery with management and how different cultures, lifestyles and surroundings affect individuals.
In August 2019 Cecilia volunteered her time in Indonesia with 'Hands with Heart Foundation' as a team leader of international osteopaths treating children with severe disabilities in unprivileged areas of Bali.
